Special Olympics Nigeria in partnership with the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), would implement a programme called "Football for Hope". This strategic initiative will embody FIFA's philosophy of "socially responsible, involved, and committed".

The objective of Football for Hope is to bring together, support, advise, and strengthen sustainable social and human development programmes in the areas of peace promotion, children's rights and education, health promotion, anti-discrimination and social integration. This programme is designed for young people with and without intellectual disabilities, using football as an instrument to promote participation
In view of the above, coaches training for implementation of “Football for Hope (FFH) has been scheduled for 13th and 14th of June, 2017 at National Orthopaedic, Igbobi, Yaba, Lagos.
